Obtaining your Certificate in Electrical Engineering Theory (Level 3) is your springboard towards an electrical career.
With it under your belt you can apply for an Electrical Training Company apprenticeship, which will unlock many career opportunities.

The one-year, full-time Level 3 course will introduce you to:

  • safe electrical installation practices
  • testing
  • commissioning
  • servicing of electrical installations and equipment
  • fault diagnosis and testing techniques
  • how to install and maintain electrical equipment.

During your course you’ll also be encouraged to complete a minimum 40 hours of relevant work experience – your chance to put what you’ve learned in the classroom into practice in the real world.

The qualification provides pre-entry foundation knowledge of electrical engineering and is suitable for those who wish to enter the industry and who do not yet have an electrical apprenticeship agreement.

The details...

The Auckland branch of Etco has, via a subcontracting arrangement, partnered with Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) to provide our Auckland students with a solid foundation of knowledge to enter the Electrical Industry as an Electrical Apprentice.
